My last post is about writing e-mails in English for Russian Speakers. So I don't think it is necessary to post it in English as well. But if you are interested let me know.

Пересматривая свои старые бумаги я нашла одну статью, которую нам давали еще в институте. Я думаю будет интересно привести ее тут. В помощь тем, кто учит английский язык. Несколько полезных советов о том, как писать e-mail на английском языке:

1. Пишите правильно даты. например 6.03.2010 на британском английском будет означать 6 марта 2010 года, на американском английском 3 июня 2010 года. Поэтому, чтобы избежать ошибки, лучше всего писать даты полностью, а не цифрами.
2. Если вы вервые пишите письмо человеку, которого вы не знаете, то стоит начать так: Dear Sir, Madam или Dear Sir/Madam. Если же вы знаете этого человека то стоит начать так: Dear Mr Jones (мужчина), Dear Mrs Jones или Dear Ms Jones (женщина). Ну а если вы пишете другу то можно начать так Dear Beth, Hi Fred.
3 Если вы прилагаете к своему письму документ во вложении, то не пишите hereby или herewith, (тут я вам высылаю приложение), например: I hereby send you the document... лучше написать так: In the attachment, please find...
4. конструкция Look forward to требует после себя глагол с окончанием -ing. We look forward to having the opportunity of serving you...
5. Свое писмо можно закончить так: Kind regards, или With kind regards. Эти выражения можно использовать как в формальном так и в неформальном стиле.

It has been extremely busy for the last two months and I did not get to writing anything in my blog and hardly made anything. I had to prepare for my translation exams and now when it was over i got back to my creative space and made one cute chain with a pendant. Love the result.

On www.dekreatief.blogspot.com I have seen a video on how to make a photo album from envelopes. The idea was so nice and simple that I decided to try it out. It doesn't take a lot of tome to make but looks really nice. Here what I have made (it is not completely finished yet, I still need to put more photos and decorations in) If you are interested in making an album like this one, do have a look at the blog, there are three videos (the language is dutch, but it is really clear demo)

On Wednesday together with my sister-in-law we did a cake workshop by Karin's cake creations. It was really interesting and we have learned a lot of nice tricks and tips on how to decorate your cake properly with marzipan. Now here is the result of my creation.

Hello everyone!
Life is just very busy on this end, so i did not have muchtime lately to post anything on my blog. Exams starting next months and i will have to spend rather some time studying. But there is always some time to make something nice and beautiful.
On Sunday was a birthday party of our little cousin Ilse and she really wanted to have a Barbie cake for her birthday. So I promised her to make it for her 4th birthday. Here it is.

today is a rather relaxing day. while surfing the internet i have come across some very nice hanging toy organizers that can be attached at the back of a car seat. I just love the idea and want to try it out. I think it is great.
